We all know it’s the ‘little ones’ in the family that need the most care, attention and love. That’s why we need your help in taking care of baby Luna and mischievous Haven. The future is becoming more and more of an unknown as the world is still gripped by the current situation. It’s now 15 months since we had visitors and the more time goes by, the more the future of Samui Elephant Haven becomes even more precarious.
You can continue to support the Haven by adopting one of our families at the park so we can secure a sound future for all of them. There are several ways to help and support Luna and Haven, or the gang. Full details below
Thank you – Maew and all the Haven staff
All donors up to $99 will receive a certificate of Adoption
The family of Aom with Luna and Permpoon.
They love each other and love to spend time together, Aom is a good mommy to take care of her baby. She always keeps eyes on her baby even Permpoon is 3 years old but mommy still takes care of him good and also Luna a young sister who is very naughty like a kid she loves to run around and play with water. Luna is a very brave elephant with only 8 months old, she is really playful and eats a lot.
“I’m Plai Bang; this means ‘boy elephant’ in Thai. I’m a bit of a ‘Jack the Lad’, well, I used to be until it got me into trouble. You see, I was taken from my mother when I was only two years old. All-day long, I walked up and down the beach at a hotel, only stopping to have my photograph taken and to be fed watermelon and bananas.
A few days after arrival Som-O was introduced to the gang. Molo Air, Nong Pech and Kwan Samui were all eager to meet her and very welcoming. Som-O is actually the oldest of this group as she’s thought to be in her mid-fifties. However, there are lots of her younger friends teaching her and thanks to them she is learning every day how to be a free elephant.
A happy family baby, mommy and grandma.
They love to enjoy the mud cause the baby love it the most and mommy love to splash mud on her body while grandma loves to scratch her body with the tree
It’s because grandma is very old almost 70 years old so most of the food for this family is soft food like “RICE BALL” and of course baby Haven also loves them.
Moloair, Kwan Samui and Nong pech are called “THE GANGSTERS” at Samui Elephant Haven.
They are best friends and truly love each other that always sharing the food and space
The gangsters are very easy to take care of, all of them are 9 and 10 years old females, they are growing together and love to enjoy the food especially when they are eating together.
“My name is Sorn Ram.
I was born and raised in the north of Thailand.I started my life in the teak wood logging trade where we would push, pull and roll big logs all day long, the job was risky; especially for a baby elephant who didn’t listen!
Thank you for your continued and generous support.
