We all know it’s the ‘little ones’ in the family that need the most care, attention and love. That’s why we need your help in taking care of baby Luna and mischievous Haven. The future is becoming more and more of an unknown as the world is still gripped by the current situation. It’s now nearly 2 years since we had visitors and the more time goes by, the more the future of Samui Elephant Haven becomes even more precarious.

Luna’s Family

The family of Aom with Luna and Permpoon.

They love each other and love to spend time together, Aom is a good mommy to take care of her baby. She always keeps eyes on her baby even Permpoon is 3 years old but mommy still takes care of him good and also Luna a young sister who is very naughty like a kid she loves to run around and play with water. Luna is a very brave elephant with only 8 months old, she is really playful and eats a lot.

Plai Bang

“I’m Plai Bang; this means ‘boy elephant’ in Thai. I’m a bit of a ‘Jack the Lad’, well, I used to be until it got me into trouble. You see, I was taken from my mother when I was only two years old. All day long, I walked up and down the beach at a hotel, only stopping to have my photograph taken and to be fed watermelon and bananas.

Som-O

A few days after arrival Som-O was introduced to the gang.  Molo Air, Nong Pech and Kwan Samui were all eager to meet her and very welcoming.  Som-O is actually the oldest of this group as she’s thought to be in her mid-fifties. However, there are lots of her younger friends teaching her and thanks to them she is learning every day how to be a free elephant.
